Splitting Hairs

The importance of everything has skyrocketed of late,
resulting in a rise of the kind of conversation that I hate,
which circle minutiae with rows of nodding heads
agreeing that this thing or that thing is as urgent as it gets.
In the end of the meetings, there's congratulations,
they send out notes with loads of citations,
of some guy with a lack of technical know-how
that got invited on accident somehow,
and though those that left that room satisfied,
believed that all issues have now been mollified,
we've managed to argue for hours on end,
and leave without a single solution on hand.
